Texas won a tight one Monday 2-1 as Seattle had just two hits to open this series between division rivals out of the AL West. Texas is 5-5 on the year following the win and 1-3 at home. Seattle has dropped three in a row to fall to 4-7 on the season with a road mark of 1-3. George Kirby is throwing for the Mariners who is 2-0 in three career starts in Texas with a 3.06 ERA. In his career against Texas Kirby is a perfect 8-0 in 10 starts with a 1.04 ERA. Kirby is 1-1 on the season with a 3.75 ERA and is making his first start of the year on the road where he was 5-4 with a 5.16 ERA. Seattle is 3-2 on the year following a loss. Texas is 3-1 following a win. Texas has Nathan Eovaldi on the mound who has an ERA over 11 on the year with losses in each of his first two starts. Eovaldi has face Seattle 13 times in his career and is not had much success with a 2-4 record and ERA nearly 5.50. Cincinnati collected two runs on seven hits which was enough as the pitching held the Marlins to just three hits and no runs. Cincinnati improves to 7-3 on the year and 4-0 on the road while Miami falls to 6-4 on the year and 5-2 at home. Miami is 2-1 following losses this year and Cincinnati is 4-1 after a win. Cincinnati is throwing Andrew Abbott who is 0-1 on the year with a 3.09 ERA and the Reds are 0-2 in his two starts. Abbott is 1-1 in three starts against the Marlines with a 6.75 ERA and in Miami 0-1 with an ERA over 10. The Marlins are throwing Sandy Alcantara who is 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA with a complete game shutout in his last start scattering three hits and striking out seven. In nine games including seven starts Alcantara is 2-5 with a 3.99 ERA against the Reds. Look for Alcantara to shake off those numbers against the Reds and continue his red hot start throwing another seven shutout innings in a 4-1 win for the Marlins to bounce back. Play Miami

Charlotte and Boston are each on a winning streak of at least three games and have won eight of their last 10 games. Boston is 53-25 on the year, 27-11 at home, and 34-15 in conference. Charlotte is 43-36 on the year, 22-17 on the road, 25-24 in conference games and just a half game back of 6th place Toronto . In early March Charlotte won in Boston 118-89 and Boston returned the favor in Charlotte 114-99 a couple weeks ago. Charlotte is 49-30 against the spread this year tops in the NBA while Boston is second at 46-32 against the spread. Charlotte is 26-16 against the spread after a win and Boston is 29-23 against the spread following a win. Charlotte is 30-19 against the spread in conference games while Boston, in conference games is 29-20.
