New York has certainly dominated Baltimore, taking eight of the last 10 matchups with their American League East rival, just since last September. The Yankees sit in second place in one of the most competitive divisions in baseball at 69-55, 6.0-games back, and +8.5-games ahead in a Wildcard spot. The Orioles sit in fourth place in the division, at 61-64, 14.5-games back, and are right on the line for that WC spot. Uncharacteristic for MLB teams, the Yankees are better on the road than they are at home, sporting a 38-28 away record. Statistically, both offenses score about the same. But power and running certainly belong to the visiting team here as the Yankees rank second in baseball and home runs and seventh in stolen basis. Throw into the mix the disparity on the mound, and you can see why I like New York here. The Yankees pitching staff tops the Majors with a 3.26 ERA, while the Baltimore staff ranks 19th, with a team ERA of 4.24. Speaking of pitching, you can expect to see Rodon and Baz starting here today. The Yankees LH is coming off the injury list for his first big league appearance since the end of June, having recovered from an elbow situation. This season, he owns respectable numbers at 4-2 with a 3.30 ERA. The Orioles RH is 4-12 this season with a 4.00 ERA. Over his last 10 starts he has gone winless at 0-6 despite a respectable ERA during that span of 3.92. In seven starts against New York over his career, he is also winless at 0-2 with a 7.00 ERA. The Yankees starter has done well in his lifetime against today’s opponent, going up against them nine times, which includes eight stars, with a record of 2-3 with a 4.53 ERA. You never know what’s going to happen when a pitcher comes off the injured list. However, the way the Yankees have dominated the Orioles, and the fact they still have the best pitching staff in baseball behind their starter, compels me side with them. Take New York. Thank you.

To say New York has had their way with Chicago would be an understatement. The Liberty have taken both meetings this season against the Sky, and going back a bit, three in a row, and eight of the last nine overall matchups. It is true Chicago has covered four straight against them. But this line off (just to err on the side of caution, I’m releasing it on the Moneyline). These two teams are heading in opposite directions. The Liberty sit in second place tie in the Eastern Conference with the Dream, both sitting 1.5-games back of the Fever. They enter today’s matchup running hot, winning eight of their last 10 overall outings SU. Granted, they leave a little bit to be desired against the spread. But I really like them here in this matchup. Meanwhile, what can we say about the Sky? Their season is over. They sit in fifth place in the conference with a dismal record of 13-22, 10.0-games back. They are also horrible in conference play, going -–10 against their conference rivals this season. The visiting team has done well against conference opponents in 2026, sporting a 10-4 record against them. No matter how you look at this game, the play is the Liberty. They score more and allow less. They are better at both ends of the court on the boards, and are monsters from beyond the arc. All this and they top the league from the free-throw line hitting over 85.0%. I doubt they’re going to be in a look-ahead mode as they have the Indiana Fever up next at home on August 22. I don’t think they let their foot off the gas here. They need this victory to go into that next game rolling. Take the New York Liberty. Thank you.
Seattle Mariners vs. Milwaukee Brewers (MLB) - 7:40 PM EDT

Going back to June 2019, these two teams have met 10 times, with the Brewers prevailing in eight of those 10 matchups. The Mariners sit in third place in the American League West at 59-66, 4.0-games back in the division, and just 2.0-games back of a Wildcard situation. Milwaukee possesses the best overall record in baseball at 77-48, and own a 4.5-game cushion in the National League Central. These two teams are starting to stride again. However, I look for the Brewers to come in here with confidence, not only knowing they have dominated the Mariners over the years, but also coming into this matchup coming off a series win over the Dodgers, 3-1. The Mariners offense possesses some of the ugliest numbers in all of baseball, ranking at the bottom of the barrel in most categories, which includes 29th in scoring and 28th in team batting average. Their pitching has been consistent this season. However, the home team here comes in with a top-five scoring offense and the second-best pitching staff in baseball. Speaking of which, you can expect to see Miller and Harrison starting here today. The Seattle RH is 4-6 with a 3.39 ERA on the campaign as the team has dropped his last six appearances. To be honest with you, he has been giving up a ton of runs since the first week of July. The Milwaukee LH is 9-3 with a 3.47 ERA on the campaign, and has not allowed a single lineup to put a better than three earned runs on him since the second week of June. At home this season, he is nearly unbeatable, sporting a 6-1 record with an anemic ERA of 1.38. I like this matchup very much. Take the Milwaukee Brewers. Thank you.

Going back to last September, Kansas City has taken four of the last six meetings against the Athletics. I think we can all agree the Athletics season started out with a bang. But now is just a whimper. The team started out the beginning of the regular season as one of the most pleasant surprises sitting atop the American League West for a bit. But have since come down to Earth, sitting in a last place tie in the division at 49-76. This does include a road record of 26-36. I’m not going to sit here and tell you the Kansas City Royals numbers are that much better. They too are in last place in their division, the American League Central, at 52-74. However, when they’re playing at home, they are much better than when they travel, owning a 30-30 record at Kauffman Stadium this season. Jack Perkins and Daniel Lynch IV are slated today. The Athletics RH is just 2-9 with a 7.27 ERA this season. The team is just 1-10 in his 11 starts this season. To make matters worse, they have dropped 10 straight games in which he has made an appearance, which does include nine starts and one relief appearance. He is 0-3 with a whopping ERA of 11.47 over his last three outings, and on the road this season equally ugly, at 1-41 with a 6.82 ERA. The Royals LH is 4-4 with a very respectable ERA of 2.88. He normally doesn’t go past the second inning, my friends. But he has kept lineups in check. At home in 2026, he is 1-1 with a 2.05 ERA. The team has won six of the last nine games he has made an appearance. Playing the Royals here at home with a better starter on the mound is the play. Take Kansas City. Thank you.

I have several types of plays depending on the sport and source of information. You will know when I have a BIG GAME or a GAME OF THE MONTH or SEASON. Obviously, these are "Special" games that you need to hit hard. Everyday plays are always an average unit for you unless I specify other. With me, I consistently win so you should progress over the course of the season. All picks are played equally unless otherwise specified such as a GOM or TOP PICK noted play.

I have a basic money management system. I feel that a money management system should be simple enough for anyone to follow, and should be directed at capitalizing on the "Hot Games". See, I have been around bookies my whole life, and understand that you never want to get a name as a "Sharp Better" or "Sharpie" once that happens you will begin to get "blackballed" or :"blacklisted" at both local books and internet books. Therefore, we bet on enough games to come under the radar; however we capitalize on the "Hot Games", as mentioned above. The system is based on units.
The range is from 5 units to 20 units. A safe better would let one unit should consist of 1 percent of your total balance offered by your book. A more risk better would double that and let one unit be 2 percent of his total balance. For example, if I have a 100 game and 1000 a week limit, and I am betting 20 units, a safe bettor would bet $200. A riskier one would risk $400.
