The Knicks were flat in the first quarter before a strong second quarter to take a seven point halftime lead. The third quarter belonged to the Spurs and held off a late surge by the Knicks to pick up their first win of the series in game three. The teams were even from the field and three, but the difference in the game was the edge the Spurs had at the foul line shooting 10 more shots and making seven of them. The Spurs were more physical in the first half including a non flagrant or any foul on Wemby on Brunson when he shoved his head down and Brunson went to the ground. In my opinion Brunson should have gotten up and went back at Wemby to get something called and reviewed. The Knicks tried to be the more physical team in the second half but the refs had started calling the game far tighter then and the Spurs were in the bonus with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter. Look for the Knicks to legally be a little tougher and stronger in this game and get a few abs in to Wemby as retribution. Towns, Shamet and Bridges all had sub par games and the big games from Brunson and OG weren't enough. Look for the Knicks to mix it up on offense getting Towns more involved and maybe at times get Brunson to play off the ball so he isn't having too many possession of just dribbling the ball around. Look for all five starters for the Knicks in double digits and three over 20 points as they feed off the home crowd who is amped up from the tip in a higher scoring affair 120-113 as the Knicks get back to winning and take a 3-1 series lead.
