The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants both have what it takes to put up big numbers Sunday night, setting the stage for an OVER bet. Dallas features one of the league’s most explosive passing offenses with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens leading the way. The Cowboys averaged 5.9 yards per play last season, which ranked third-best in football. This is a perfect matchup for Dallas to take advantage and score explosively against a Giants secondary that has plenty of questions. The Giants also have what it takes to keep pace in the scoring department. Quarterback Jaxson Dart gives New York a dual-threat quarterback who can damage Dallas both through the air and on the ground. Cam Skattebo should provide the Giants offense with a physical running attack as well. Wide receiver Malik Nabers is officially questionable for Sunday’s game, but practiced fully throughout the entire week. That should be good enough for Nabers to suit up and give Dart another dangerous playmaker. Dallas’ defense should also play a factor in bettors trusting the OVER. Dallas ranked just 24th in EPA per play allowed last season. They also just switched defensive schemes, which could lead to early-season communication breakdowns. This will allow Dart to capitalize on big plays downfield or pick up chunks of yards with his legs. Cowboys and Giants games have historically been high-scoring affairs. The OVER is 6-for-8 in their last eight games dating back to the 2022 season. Dallas won 40-37 over New York last season. The OVER was 13-4 in Cowboys games last year, while it went 11-6 with the Giants. Prescott and Dallas have shown they can score in the upper 20s or low 30s, and the Giants passing offense should be better than people expect. I think the Houston Texans have a legitimate chance to beat the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, and the matchup I’m keying on most is Houston’s defense against Josh Allen. Houston showed last season they had the front to give Buffalo problems. In the Week 2 meeting between these two teams last year, the Texans won 23-19 while sacking Allen eight times. Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter both excelled at collapsing the pocket. Allen ended the game with 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Houston’s defense ranked among the NFL’s best units in 2025. They only allowed 17.4 points per game during their 12-5 season. They have the front seven to keep pressure on Allen without sending additional blitzes to him. Keeping more players in coverage is huge against Buffalo’s arsenal of playmakers. If Anderson and Hunter can create anywhere close to that type of pressure from a year ago, Buffalo will once again struggle to consistently move the ball downfield. Houston also finds themselves in a favorable matchup against the run. Buffalo allowed 5.1 yards per rush last season, which Houston responded by adding David Montgomery to improve a running game that lacked a consistent starter. Establishing the run with Montgomery will allow Houston to control the clock, keep Allen on the sideline and create more manageable down-and-distance situations for quarterback C.J. Stroud. The biggest difference in offense from last year’s Houston win is Stroud. Houston won the previous matchup even with Davis Mills starting that game under center. Stroud brings an improved Texans passing attack with a legitimate No. 1 receiver in Nico Collins. Houston still has some concerns along the offensive line after losing starting right tackle Braden Smith for the start of the season, so expect Houston to utilize quick passes and attempt to establish a run game to keep balanced attacks. Last but not least, this game will be played in Houston. Buffalo Bills fans know all too well how that team has struggled in Houston historically. Buffalo came into the game last season with a scorching offense, but Houston’s defensive front bottled them up. If Houston can stay out of negative plays due to turnovers, forcing Buffalo into obvious passing downs, I expect Houston’s pass rush to once again disrupt Josh Allen. Jim’s Play: 464. Texans
