The key to the Panthers' season could be how quickly redshirt sophomore quarterback Tino Sunseri can replace Bill Stull, who helped Pittsburgh score 417 points last season. Sunseri going into this season has just 17 career pass attempts. The Panthers also have star RB Dion Lewis but he could struggle as Pittsburbh has had to shuffle the offensive line. Another issue going against Pittsburgh is that Uath has won 21 of 22 at home versus non-conference opponents.
Utah is coming off its ninth straight bowl victory and will be lookikng for a third straight double digit win sdason. The Utes will also be starting a young QB in Jordan Wynn who is a sophomore. However, he thre for 1329 yards with 8 TD's and 4 interctiions and was the offensive MVP in their bowl game where is was 26 of 36 for 338 yards and three TDs. The Utes also have senior RB Eddie Wind who ran for 1,069 yards with 12 TD's last season.
This is the second meeting between these teams. In the first one Utah defeated Pittsburgh 35-7 in the 2005 Fiesta Bowl to cap off a 12-0 season.
