Bob Wingerter
LAY-UP!! NBA WEDNESDAY 3 GAME ANALYZED PACKAGE. Bob has HISTORICALLY RELIABLE INFORMATION on 3 NBA matchups tonight.
Bob Wingerter's philosophy of handicapping is serious, no-nonsense, he specializes in NFL / NCAA Football...NBA / NCAA Basketball...Major League Baseball...NHL Hockey, is back with after a 5 year retirement from offering winning selections to clients, with his vast knowledge of Football.. Basketball..Baseball. After returning in 2006, he is a DOCUMENTED award winning champion from Pro Football Weekly's National Handicappers Bowl.
Bob's GAME INSIGHT FORCASTER is not a machine or system... it is a method of handicapping that involves hard work and time. Selections are based on modern technology, long experience, discipline, an accumulation of winning edges and feel for the game. With his experience in every facet of handicapping, he knows about winning and has been doing so for over 30 years. Bob will make you a winner!
The betting line is made to create two-way action and they do a very good job, but public perception is also considered. This opens holes and opportunities and Bob exploits them. Selections will only be among the games meeting his criteria. There won’t be a bunch of statistics, trivial information, speculation and opinions that are contained in the line anyway. With the increasing infomation available from the computer, since it's inception into sports handicapping, analysis like statistics, trends, etc. have become less relevant . Let experience and insight speak for itself.
The most important part of handicapping is discipline and money management. Discipline will be reflected in the selections. Money management you must learn yourself.
Winning is directly related to your knowledge of the opposition. About 60% of all games are determined by luck or happenstance. Its the other 40% or so that separates the men from the boys.
His analogy of handicapping is that of a carpenter going to work without a hammer. A handicapper must have a bankroll.
Bob told us about a question he has been asked over the years, "should I seek help handicapping?" The answer is YES! Don't let your ego get in the way when you are risking an investment. He will be working hard along with all the handicappers on this site to ensure your success.

Marquette finished the season with a flurry winning nine of their last 11 games with most of them being close gritty wins. The Golden Eagles were 11-7 in conference play finishing tied for fifth place. Marquette recently beat this St. John's team by two on the road as they were 5-4 in conference road games and 2-1 in games played on a neutral court. Jimmy Butler has averaged 15.2 points per game and 6.5 rebounds while Lazar Hayward averages 18 points per game and 7.8 boards. As a team Marquette averages 73.8 points per game as they shoot 45.4 percent from the field though they rank 281st in offensive rebounding. Defensively Marquette allows 63.6 points per game as teams shoot a pretty solid 44.1 percent from the floor. The Golden Eagles are in the NCAA Tournament but what goes on in the Big East Tournament will definitely affect their seeding.
Marquette is 11-5 agaisnt the spread in their last 16 neutral site games and 10-2-1 against the spread when playing a team with a winning record. St. John's is 1-3-1 against the spread when playing a team with a winning record. The favorite is 5-1-1 against the spread in the last seven meetings between these two. TAKE MARQUETTE MINUS HERE.

The Charlotte Bobcats are certainly taking care of business at home in their quest for the franchise's first playoff berth.
Finding success on the road has been a different story.
The Bobcats take a three-game winning streak built at home to Philadelphia on Wednesday night, hoping that a matchup with the reeling 76ers can help them avoid a seventh loss in nine road contests.
Charlotte (31-31) has 20 games left to try to grab one of the Eastern Conference's bottom four playoff spots, and if it could play a majority of those at Time Warner Cable Arena - where it's 23-8 - it'd be in great shape.
Only half of the Bobcats' remaining games are at home, however, meaning they'll likely need to find a way to improve upon their 8-23 road record if they plan on playing in the postseason.
Charlotte bounced back from a 104-80 loss at Boston last Wednesday by sweeping a three-game homestand, and Tuesday's win was easily the most significant. The Bobcats recovered from a 15-point deficit to beat Miami 83-78, moving to 3-0 this season against their Southeast Division rivals.
The victory moved Charlotte into a virtual tie with the Heat for the East's seventh spot, and the Bobcats own the tiebreaker. TAKE CHARLOTTE HERE.

Tony Parker won't need surgery on his broken right hand, which should be good news for the San Antonio Spurs come playoff time.
In the present, however, they will need to find ways to win without their second-leading scorer.
The Spurs, losers of three straight when Parker is out of the lineup, host the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.
Parker is expected to miss about six weeks, but may be able to return for the playoffs upon learning that he will not need surgery, which could have ended his season.
The Spurs (36-25) are in seventh place in the West, 4 1/2 games ahead of ninth-place Memphis.
Monday, Manu Ginobili, making his second start of the season, finished with a season-high 38 points. He has averaged 18.1 points in 10 games without Parker, up from his 14.6 season average.
Knicks are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. NBA Southwest.TAKE SAN ANTONIO MINUS HERE.

Oklahoma finished the season with eight consecutive losses including a 21 point shellacking at the hands of these same OSU Cowboys in Stillwater. With Willie Warren gone for the year, so were any chances of a winning season for he Sooners and while Tony Crocker and others tried to pick up the pieces, they just weren't able to. The Sooners finished at 4-12 in the Big 12 which got them into a three way tie for ninth place in the conference standings. Oklahoma was 0-8 in conference away games and 1-4 in neutral site games. As a team Oklahoma averages 72.3 points per game as they shoot a 201st ranked 43.9 percent from the floor and they are 200th in offensive rebounding. Defensively it's fallen apart for Oklahoma as they allow 73.4 points per game which is 296th in the nation as teams light it up shooting 45.4 percent ranking the OU defense 288th in that category and the Sooners are 227th in defensive rebounding. It's been a hard fall for Oklahoma this season but the Sooners will be back.
Oklahoma State finished tied for sixth in the Big 12 this year with a 9-7 record in the conference. The Cowboys had their share of ups and downs wit the ups including a win over number one ranked Kansas and a road win against Kansas State. OSU was 2-6 in conference road games and 3-1 in neutral site games this season. James Anderson leads the way for OSU scoring 22.9 points per game. As a Unit Oklahoma State scores 74.4 points per game as they shoot 44.8 percent from the field. Defensively the teams shoot 41.6 percent against Oklahoma State and score 67.6 points per game against the Cowboys. A win here would get the Cowboys a next round game against Kansas State, a team the Cowboys have beaten this season.
Oklahoma is 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 against the spread in their last five neutral site games. Oklahoma State is 5-2 against the spread in their last seven Big 12 games and 4-0 against the spread when playing a team with a losing record. TAKE OKLAHOMA STATE MINUS HERE.

Kansas coach Self on Missouri’s key injury: “Losing Safford’s a big loss because it does
require their bigs to play an awful lot of minutes, and the way they play it does take a
lot of energy when you’re trapping and running every possession.” Doc Sadler is
known as a crafty tournament coach, and unlike last season when Nebraska ran into
a Baylor team that needed to win four games (the Bears won three) to get to the
NCAA Tournament, they are facing a projected NCAA 7-seed with a cushion for playing
their “B” game here. Doc has 10 kids playing 10 minutes or more, good for spreading
the fouls around. Tigers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a double-digit loss at home. TAKE NEBRASKA PLUS HERE.

The seventh-seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish will try to carry their late-season charge over into the postseason, as they tangle with the 10th-seeded Seton Hall Pirates in the second round of the Big East Tournament tonight at Madison Square Garden. The winner of this game will meet second- seeded Pittsburgh in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
The Irish appeared to be in a bit of trouble heading down the stretch, losing three straight and their top player in the process. Instead, ND rallied and closed the regular season with four straight wins for a respectable 10-8 finishing in the Big East. The Irish, who earned a first-round bye, are 5-14 all-time in this event and have never won more than one game.
For SHU, it took on 15th-seed Providence in the first round last night and survived in a 109-106 shootout. It was the second win over Providence in just a few days for the Pirates, who are trying to play their way into the NCAA Tournament. SHU has now won three straight and seven of its last nine games, so this club is peaking at the right time.
As for the all-time series, ND owns a 15-8 advantage over SHU, although the Pirates took a 90-87 decision during the regular season.
SHU exerted a lot energy to hold off Providence last night, so go with the Irish and expect them to wear down the Pirates in the end. TAKE NOTRE DAME HERE.

The Miami Heat are fighting for their playoff lives and hope to gain some ground during a six-game homestand that starts with tonight's matchup versus the Los Angeles Clippers at AmericanAirlines Arena.
The Heat have won three in a row as the host and will also welcome Chicago, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Orlando and Charlotte to South Florida. They are currently tied with Charlotte for seventh in the Eastern Conference standings, just a half-game ahead of Chicago for the final playoff berth, and sport a 17-14 home record.
The Heat were 20-0 when holding opponents to under 90 points and 17-0 when keeping opposing teams to less than 40 percent shooting from the field before last night's loss to the Bobcats.
Los Angeles hasn't scored more than 87 points in its last three games and is riding a four-game losing streak. It fell to 0-2 on a five-game road trip after Tuesday's 113-87 setback at Orlando. TAKE MIAMI MINUS HERE.

Bob Wingerter Release Times
NFL / NCAA College Football picks will be released throughout the week, up to the day of the game. NBA / NCAA basketball and Major League Baseball selections will be available overnight or the morning of the game .
Bob Wingerter Rating System
Bob doesn't believe in rating the selections. They are all of merit. Doubling up or chasing can be counterproductive in the long run. Okay, some plays handicap out stronger than others, but without records over thousands of plays, it's hard to have relative values of the plays....unless you are psychic. This is not saying that it cannot be helpful to increase your plays when going good (not one winning week) and decrease them when going bad. That is part of good money management. (SEE MONEY MANAGEMENT BELOW)
Bob Wingerter Money Management
Poor money management is the reason 90-95% of all sport bettors lose.
A good rule of thumb is to bet 2% of your bankroll on each play until it goes up 50%. Then increase your plays 50%. Do the reverse if your bankroll goes down.
Try not to risk more than 20% of your bankroll at any one time and over this amount only if you are making 10 or more plays simultaneously.
We wouldn't risk more than 18% while making 5-6 plays at a time.
If you make 1-3 plays a day, risking 10% of your gross bankroll at any one time might be safe.
If you go broke it won't be because you didn't pick winners, it will most likely be due to poor money management.
