Bulls at Nets (-3, 187.5): Chicago comes into this game will plenty of rest as they’ve had 3 full days to get ready. However, the Bulls have a slew of injuries with Luol Deng (Achilles) doubtful and Jimmy Butler (ankle) and Kirk Hinrich (back) both listed as probable. Chicago has lost 7 of their last 9 games so they are not in good form. Brooklyn has been dysfunctional all season. The Nets are just 9-18 on the season; they’ve lost 4 of their last 5 games after winning 3 straight games. Their lone win recently came against a bad Philadelphia team. This is a tough game to handicap as the Bulls have too many injury concerns while the Nets are an unpredictable team with their inconsistent play. Thunder (-8.5, 200) at Knicks: Oklahoma City had their 9-game winning streak snapped when they lost 104-98 at home to the Raptors on Sunday night. The Thunder have had 2 days to get ready for this game so they should come with a big effort, especially off a loss. Oklahoma City should win this game, but there’s no value with them in the pointspread. New York has been an inconsistent mess all season. The Knicks are just 9-18 on the year, including an ugly 4-10 record at home. They’ve alternated wins and losses over their last 7 games, and if that pattern holds up, the Knicks will lose this game since they won their last game. New York has a long injury list with Raymond Felton (hamstring) OUT and Carmel Anthony (ankle), Metta World Peace (knee), and Kenyon Martin (abdominal) all listed as questionable. Heat (-9, 206.5) at Lakers: Miami is playing some terrific basketball right now. The Heat have won 5 straight games and 7 of their last 8 games overall. Miami hits the road for the first time in 2 weeks, and it’s not good timing with the holiday. Despite winning SU, Miami is just 2-4 ATS over their last six games. Los Angeles is a shell of the team they hoped to have. The Lakers are missing Kobe Bryant (knee), Steve Nash (back), and Steve Blake (elbow). Jordan Farmar (hamstring) is listed as probable for this game. The Lakers are just 13-15 on the season, but they are 7-6 at home. Obviously Miami is the significantly better team, but they are laying too many points in this game. Rockets at Spurs (-7, 209.5):
San Antonio was in a good spot in their last game when they delivered us a winner over the Raptors. The Spurs face a much stiffer challenge with the Rockets in this game, but it’s hard to go against San Antonio who is 22-6 on the season, including 10-3 at home. The Spurs also have same-season revenge, and with Harden’s status unknown, this is an easy game to pass.
