Ask any good oddsmaker and they will tell you that the biggest key with college football handicapping is that it’s not a matter of who is playing but when they are playing. Motivational and scheduling factors are the biggest key when it comes to handicapping college football. Here is a list of teams coming off big games as well as teams that may have look ahead spots. This is just one more good resource to use in your handicapping. FLORIDA STATE - Just came off of an embarrassing blowout loss to Oklahoma. MIAMI - Got blown out and dominated at Ohio State. OKLAHOMA - Big blowout and statement win at home against Florida State. OHIO STATE - Dominating home win against Miami. NOTRE DAME - Tough home loss against Michigan but Kelly is a great coach so he might be more likely than most to have his team ready to go. MARSHALL - Had a brutal loss against West Virginia after leading late in the 4th quarter. That win would have really been huge for the program. SOUTH CAROLINA - Big home win against Georgia. Was also huge because it was the first conference win of the season against a decent team. ALABAMA - TV home win against Penn State last week, but I don’t think it was as emotional as if they got a big SEC win. They also have a look ahead spot to a road game at Arkansas in Week 4. STANFORD - coming off of big road win against in-state UCLA and conference rival as well as a pending road trip to South Bend in game against Notre Dame next week. BOISE STATE - one more big test against Oregon State looming next week. OREGON STATE - great chance to bounce back against Boise State in week 4. COLORADO - just got blown out at California in a game that they thought they could make a statement and get a win. TENNESSEE - just came off of an embarrassing blowout home loss to Oregon.
