NFL betting 2016 has commenced as the Hall-of-Fame game has arrived as has the official betting preview to the detriment to the sportsbooks.

Indianapolis is the favorite at -3 and a total of 34 after they opened pick ‘em and 36. 61 percent of bets are on Green Bay and 59 percent of totals bets on UNDER, with 53 percent of moneyline wagers on the Pack.

Third string QB starts Joe Callahan starts for the Cheeseheads. He and Marquise Williams will be under center for most of the game. Star QB Aaron Rodgers officially will sit out. Backup Brett Hundley is also out.

Starting WR Jordy Nelson and Ty Montgomery (ankle) and newly acquired tight end Jared Cook (foot surgery) are also out for Green Bay.

Indianapolis will play all healthy players. Indianapolis has been a notoriously bad preseason team recently, going 1-8 straight up and 2-7 against the spread in its last nine games dating back to 2013. Four of the last five Hall of Fame Game matchups have gone UNDER this total with 30 or fewer points in all four. Green Bay has gone over 26-14 in preseason in the Mike McCarthy era.

With top two Packers’ RBs Eddie Lacy and James Starks questionable-to-doubtful second-year pro John Crockett will carry a bulk of the workload. Even if Lacy or Starks plays, they will get very few snaps.
