The Bears and Titans are exact opposites of one another and they will meet on Sunday to see who is better. Chicago has difficulty scoring, but has a defense that keeps the Bears in games. The Titans can score, but have a porous defense. AMERICA’S BOOKIE WEEKLY FOOTBALL SQUARES CONTEST IS BACK Which one prevails on Sunday and how can bettors get in on the action? Game: Chicago Bears (5-3, 5-3 ATS) at Tennessee Titans (5-2, 5-2 ATS) When: 1:00 PM ET, Sunday, November 8, 2020 Where: Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee America’s Bookie Line: TEN -6.5 Total: 47 TV Coverage: CBS Roller Coaster Ride The Titans were cruising along with five straight wins to start the season. Many questioned Tennessee, and rightfully so, because the Titans beat Denver, Minnesota, and Jacksonville by a combined six points. In each game, Tennessee needed a late field goal to win. Still, they were victories and then the Titans waxed the 4-0 Buffalo Bills. Now, Tennessee has lost two straight, first to undefeated Pittsburgh and then, embarrassingly, to the 2-5-1 Cincinnati Bengals last week. Where’s the D? The Titans defense is its Achilles heel. Tennessee gives up an average of over 26 points per game. In their last seven games, the Titans have given up at least 27 points in five of those games and 30 or more in four of them. To win those types of games, you have to be able to score and the Titans are showing they can. QB Ryan Tannehill is fifth in the league in touchdown passes with 17 and he’s thrown just three interceptions. Before we move on and talk about the tank that is Derrick Henry, did you know that bitcoin is becoming the preferred method? Derrick Henry once again leads the NFL in rushing with 775 yards through seven games. Henry has also rushed for eight touchdowns. With a balanced attack, Tennessee averages nearly 30 points per game and the Titans are ranked third in the league in offensive efficiency. Bears - No Offense … But On the other side, the Bears struggle to put the ball in the end zone. Chicago ranks 31st in rushing and 28th in scoring (20.1 points per game). The lack of a running game has put an enormous amount of pressure on QB Nick Foles who took over the starting job from Mitch Trubisky early in the season. For all of its misgivings, the Bears offense has actually done pretty well against some of the NFL’s worst defenses. Chicago has gone up against some of the bottom-tier defenses like Atlanta, Detroit, and Carolina. The Bears put up 30 points against the Falcons, 27 against Detroit, and 23 against the Panthers. While not outstanding numbers, they are enough for bettors to lean toward the Over. In five of Tennessee’s last six games, the Total has gone Over. Interestingly enough, the Over has cashed in eight of the Titans last 10 home games and, to top it off, the Over has hit in five of the Titans last six games against the Bears. With a Bears offense that does well against poor defenses and a Titans offense that has proven it can score on anyone, the play on this game is the Over. NFL Free Pick: TITANS-BEARS OVER 47
