The game to watch over the holiday weekend will be on Sunday night when Tennessee travels to Green Bay to take on the Packers. The two teams are eerily similar in that they both have high-scoring offenses. The Titans are tied with Kansas City for the NFL lead in scoring averaging 31.1 points per game. Green Bay checks in at 31.0, but it’s not the offenses that bettors should be concerned with on Sunday night. HOLIDAY SPORTS BETTING AT AMERICA’S BOOKIE Game: Tennessee Titans (10-4, 7-7 ATS) at Green Bay Packers (11-3, 8-6 ATS) When: 8:20 PM ET, Sunday, December 27, 2020 Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin Current Line: GB -3.5 Total: 55.5 TV Coverage: NBC MVP A-Rod? The Packers are led, of course, by future Hall of Fame QB Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay quarterback is having himself an MVP-caliber year with 3,828 passing yards and 40 touchdowns so far. Green Bay is fourth in the NFL in total offense averaging 390 yards per game. It’s an offense that can run the ball too. Running back Aaron Jones is fourth in the NFL in rushing yards (968) and has scored eight touchdowns. MVP King Henry? Tennessee’s offense is even better. The Titans are second in the league in total offense averaging 399.4 yards per game. They feature the NFL’s leading rusher in Derrick Henry who has 1,679 yards and 15 touchdowns with two games to play. With those types of offenses on the field Sunday night, it’s expected that you will see plenty of points. Playing on the Total here is the right move, but it’s not just because of two elite NFL offenses on the field. Anyone looking for premium picks has to know that both Tennessee and Green Bay score a lot of points because they must. The Titans defense is just bad. If it was not for the offense, there is no way Tennessee would be 10-4. Tennessee ranks 29th in the NFL in pass defense allowing 276 yards a game. Look for Rodgers and favorite target WR Davante Adams to excel on Sunday night against a poor pass defense. That’s not all. The Titans give up 25.8 points per game, which means the offense has had to score to get 10 wins. It’s similar, though not as bad, on the other end where Green Bay gives up 24.2 points per game. The Packers have given up 30-plus points four times this season and have trouble with teams that run the ball effectively - Indianapolis and Minnesota, both losses, for example. We nailed our last pick, it was a Cardinals at Giants free pick. Go take a look. Titans @ Packers Free Pick Normally, bettors would simply back Rodgers at home because it pays. Rodgers is 57-33-3 ATS at home at Lambeau Field, but the better play is on the Total. Editor’s Choice > Compare Betting Lines to Increase Your Winning Percentage Seven of Tennessee’s games have gone over 55.5. Green Bay has gone over that total in half of its games. Don’t forget, Green Bay wants to hold onto that No. 1 seed in the NFC and Tennessee wants to win the AFC South outright. Both teams have a lot to play for. Plus, these two teams don’t play each other that often. Sure, their coaching staffs have watched plenty of film, but being unfamiliar with playing a team often is an advantage for offenses. Expect points in this one. NFL Free Pick: OVER 55.5
