However, some games aren't what they seem to be. Yes, the Gators hold the series edge 30-10-3 & pummeled the Gamecocks 38-6 @ Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville for HC Bill Napier's inaugural season @ the helm after coaching 4 seasons @ Sun Belt Conference entry Louisiana. I believe HC Shane Beamer's squad has significantly faced the tougher schedule & it's shown in their record after facing North Carolina, Mississippi State as well as SEC East kingpins Tennessee & National Champion/#1 Georgia. Meanwhile, Florida has faced some cream puffs versus the likes of FCS Southland Conference entry McNeese State, Charlotte & Vanderbilt who have a combined record of 3-15. Florida has been quite a different team on the road this season going 0-2 SU scoring just 11 points @ Utah & 14 @ Kentucky. This series has seen the home team win 6 out of the last 7 SU. I like the matchup here between Gamecocks' 5th season Senior QB Spencer Rattler (spent 3 seasons @ Oklahoma) who has a decent 7/3 TD/INT ratio after facing a very tough schedule (still ranking in the top 20 in passing @ 286 YPG). My bottom line looks @ many factors ALL in our favor. The Gamecocks come in BOTH with double-revenge & have homecoming versus the Gators. It's hard to trust opposing QB Graham Mertz whose performed miserably on the road. Florida HC Napier comes in with a 1-6 SU since coming there & has a GIGANTIC revenge game with #1 Georgia (lost 42-20 last season) on-deck in Jacksonville in the "Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" (held since 1933) @ EverBank Stadium.
