Toronto Raptors vs. Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) - 7:30 PM EDT Premium Pick
Pick: Point Spread: -7.5/-110 Philadelphia 76ers Rating: 9* Mike's 1st NBA Play Of The Year (WIN)
Here's some undeniable facts. The Raptors will not have starters Scottie Barnes (ankle) & Gary Trent Jr. (illness). 76ers won Game 1 by 20 despite horrible shooting performances from Joel Embiid who went 5-for-15 from the field & James Harden who finished a way-below-par 6-for-17. However, the playoffs have woken up Tyrese Maxey who turned a game-high 38 points versus Toronto in Game 1. Philadelphia comes in with a healthy Monday record of 6-2 ATS as well as 4-1 ATS their last 5 games inside conference quarters. The Raptors (even with their players) are still 2-5 ATS @ this venue their last 7. My bottom line says its Philly whose showing good conditioning as they murdered the Raptors by a 29-10 count for fast-break points. The 76ers should be able to pound it down low & have a supreme advantage in free-throw percentage. They rank 1st in the NBA from the charity stripe connecting on 82.1 % (Toronto ranks 11th in FT%). This used to be an away team advantage (4-0 SU) before. The last 2 have seen the home team win the last 2 straight. With the favorite slightly over-valued, let's travel to the Wells Fargo Center off of Broad Street to play the PHILADELPHIA 76ers (buying down to -1 1/2) as my 9* 1st NBA Play Of The Year!
Mike Handzelek's 2021-22 Overall NBA Record: 1-0 for 100%
