Jeff's NBA Finals Game three Wednesday Player Prop

In the high-stakes world of the NBA Finals, superstars must step up and seize the moment. That's precisely why I'm backing Jamal Murray to go over 24.5 points (-125) in Game 3 of the 2022-23 NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat. After an 18-point effort in Game 2, the dynamic guard is primed to make a statement on Wednesday night, and here's why.

First, let's take a deep dive into Murray's recent form. Over his last 10 games, he's been on a scoring tear, averaging 27.9 points and surpassing the 24.5-point mark in 8 of those contests. Even more impressive, in his last five games, Murray's been scorching the nets with a 28.6-point average, going over 24.5 points in four of those matchups. Jamal Murray has shown the ability to shoot the lights out in games after scoring less than 20 points. He's never played in Miami, which is a bit of a concern. Lets trust his talent and history of bouncing back after sub-par games.

While his 19.3 points per game average against Miami might seem concerning, it's crucial to remember that players often rise to the occasion during the NBA Finals. With the series tied 1-1, Game 3 will be a pivotal moment for both teams, and the Nuggets will undoubtedly rely on their star guard to deliver. Miami plays great team defense, but I would expect the Nuggets to scheme up sets and get Murray clean looks from downtown.

Moreover, the Nuggets' lack of production outside of their star duo – Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic – in Game 2 highlights the urgent need for Murray to step up his scoring. Jokic dropped a massive 41 points, but with Murray only contributing 18, it wasn't enough to secure the win. Denver can't keep relying solely on Jokic to carry the offensive load, and Murray must take on more responsibility in this pivotal Game 3.

Don't forget that Murray's been a consistent scoring threat throughout the season, averaging 21.4 points per game. He's already had more than 24.5 points in 29 games this year, and with his recent upward trend, it's reasonable to expect him to add another game to that tally in Game 3.

All signs point to Jamal Murray bouncing back from his 18-point performance in Game 2 and erupting over 24.5 points (-125) in Wednesday's crucial Game 3. With the series on the line, expect the Nuggets' star guard to rise to the occasion and remind everyone why he's one of the most electrifying players in the NBA. When the NBA Finals are tied 1-1, the winner of Game 3 has gone on to win the series 32 out of 40 times (80%). Should be a good one!
