The state of Alabama has been known for its exceptional recruitment of promising high school athletes, grooming them into top-notch players. Come 2023, the Crimson Tide is expected to have a lineup brimming with future NFL stars, giving them an undeniable advantage over their opponents.


A new quarterback with a strong arm and impressive running capabilities will lead the Crimson Tide's offense. Jalen Milroe was Young's backup for the past two years and filled in when Young had a shoulder injury and should start in week one. Ty Simpson, a five-star red-shirt freshman recruit, is also on the roster. As for Milroe, he got significant playing time in the middle of the season. Young left with a shoulder injury following a tackle when facing the Arkansas Razorbacks. Milroe entered the game, completing four-of-nine pass attempts for 65 yards and a touchdown while running for 91 yards and a touchdown on six carries in the 49-26 win. Milroe started in the following game against the Texas A&M Aggies, throwing for 111 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception on 12-of-19 pass attempts while picking up 81 yards on 17 carries in the 24-20 win.


Jalen Milroe has an impressive build, height, and athleticism. Dual-threat with strong passing and running skills. Displays live arm and velocity in the short-to-intermediate and vertical passing games. Completion percentage improved by 6 points in junior year. A dangerous runner who extends plays and finds receivers. Possesses good top-end speed and agility. Fluid enough to make defenders miss in tight quarters. The forthcoming 2023 season has high hopes for Alabama's offense as they showcase a formidable set of wide receivers alongside a robust offensive line. Moreover, the team's schedule for the season looks promising, particularly as they have several crucial matchups in the comfort of their home field.


In 2022, Alabama averaged an exceptional 6.8 yards per play. This statistic demonstrates the team's explosive offensive capabilities, which should continue to translate into victories for the upcoming season. Last season, the Crimson Tide averaged an impressive 41.7 points per game, outscoring their opponents consistently. We expect a similar performance in 2023, with their potent offense largely remaining intact. Also, the Tide ranked No. 129 in penalties per game (8.3) after committing seven penalties per game in 2021. This will need to improve if Alabama expects to make the Championship game. The defense will be better in 2023 after many silly mistakes last year.

While Alabama failed to roll in how they’ve grown accustomed under head coach Nick Saban, it’s important to note their two losses last season came on final plays of the game (LSU and Tennessee).
