The Ohio Bobcats were much better than anyone was expecting in their opening 31-34 loss on the road against Rutgers where the Bobcats outgained the Scarlet Knights in total yards. Ohio had to reshape a good chunk of their roster coming into the season, but following their impressive opening result against a Big Ten opponent, it looks like the Bobcats will be a serious factor again this year in the MAC. We had West Virginia ranked considerably higher than Ohio coming into the season and there’s no doubt the oddsmakers are giving the Bobcats more respect following their 3 point loss against Rutgers. QB Parker Navarro was largely a one man show against Rutgers and if West Virginia can use the week 1 tape to plan a defensive strategy to slow down the dual threat QB, then the Mountaineers should come away here with a big win and cover.
