Game 733. 3:00 PM PST/6:00 PM EST. In my opinion, this matchup is one of the most exciting on the entire college basketball card today. Both Virginia and Duke are in contention for at least a piece of first place in the ACC. The Cavaliers are currently in third place in the conference, at 12-6, while the Blue Devils sit in second place, at 13-4. Obviously, both are in the rearview of the top team in the conference, the Tar Heels. What's funny is Virginia has this game with Duke and then a follow up game to end the regular season with Georgia Tech. However, the Blue Devils, after this matchup a few days from now have to meet the Wolfpack on the road and then the Tar Heels at home. I believe making them nearly a double-digit favored here, will have the Blue Devils coming in here a little overconfident. Yes, on paper they are a better team than the Cavaliers. I mean we are all aware of Dukes offensive prowess, accounting for over 80 points per game (80.5 PPG). But let's face it Virginia's defense is extremely frustrating and very feisty. They allow just 58.7 points per game and just 39.6% shooting from the field. While I give the Blue Devils an edge on the boards, I really do feel this is way too many points to give a very game, very capable, very competitive visiting team. Take the Cavaliers. Thank you.
