Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: USC vs. Maryland
Thursday, February 20, 2025 8:30 PM
Play: Point Spread: -10.5/-110 Maryland
After SWEEPING THE BOARD for nearly a week, I hit a snag. Tonight, I come back with a vengeance and get everyone paid with my NCAAB TOP PLAY, NBA SLAM DUNK, & NBA BEST BET. Get them all and SWEEP THE BOARD. Thursday’s FREE WINNER: Maryland Terrapins. Game 794. 5:30 PM PST/8:30 PM EST. A game that definitely caught my eye this morning is another Big Ten matchup in the USC/Maryland game. Let's face it, the Big Ten has not been kind to the Trojans. They're just 6-8 in conference play, and possess an overall record of 14-11. They dropped five of their last eight straight up, and split those last eight games against the number. A couple of the games they've played were kind of close; they lost by six to UCLA, two to Northwestern, and three of Minnesota. But they did get shredded against the likes of Wisconsin, I mean they lost by 15, and then were absolutely decimated by 18 at the hands of Purdue. Meanwhile, Maryland is currently sitting in fifth place in the Big Ten of 10-5, winning three in a row, with an overall record of 20-6, which does include an astounding, 15-1 mark at home. They would love to finish the regular season in the top-four for sure. After this game, they've got a home contest against Michigan State, then take it on the road both at Penn State and Michigan, before they finish up back at home again against Northwestern. Now two of those contests: the Spartans and Wolverines matchups are vital for them…they need victories there. In any case, for them to at least have a shot at the top-four in the conference, it all starts with a victory here today. I'm never crazy about laying double-digits. But if I had to today, I would definitely be on the Terrapins. They possess five double-digit scorers, with one of the best front courts in the nation in Queen and Reese, the big men combine for 29.8 points per game and 18.0 boards per game. Both offensively and defensively they outclass their opponent here. They shoot lights out from downtown and are pretty frustrating from the perimeter as well, defensively. If this line was a little bit lower, I would put it out as a premium play. But I definitely have a lean on Maryland here. Thank you.
