UNLV comes into this game fresh off a third straight win taking down SDSU 74-67 and they have to be feeling great down the stretch winning six of their last seven. This squad has come alive offensively while still playing their great lockdown defense and maintaining their slow overall pace of play. Dedan Thomas JR is a monster out there and is a very underrated PG. New Mexico clinched the Mountain West regular season title with their win over Nevada their last time out and with everything they set out to lock up in the regular season they now have to guard against a big letdown. This squad has been a little hit of miss here down the stretch and barely got the win at UNLV earlier this season eventually winning 75-73. Take UNLV and the points on the road in this one. New Mexico is in a huge letdown spot and if they do lock in at the end of this game and grind out a win I think it’s going to be extremely close and I fully expect the Rebels to make this a really tough game to win.
