This is a free play on DET. The Raptors come into Detroit asked to cover a handful of points, but they are without leading scorer Pascal Siakam and starting PG Fred Van Fleet. The Pistons don't have much to play for most of the time, but this is one spot that comes with extra motivation. Head coach Dwane Casey was highly successful during his tenure in Toronto, becoming the all time leader in wins, and was the NBA Coach of the Year in 2018. That very same season Toronto chose not to renew his contract, as the team could get over the hump in the playoffs. The real story is that nobody in the East was getting past LeBron James. The Pistons signed Casey the following season, and since he has enjoyed limited success. One thing he has done though is beat the Raptors.
