Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: Tampa Bay Rays vs. Baltimore Orioles

Play: Money Line: -110 Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays own the best record in the American League East at 34-16, yet they are priced as a near pick'em against a struggling 24-30 Orioles squad. It took 13 innings in a back and forth tilt yesterday in the series opener for the Orioles to win 9-7.
Tampa Bay sends Griffin Jax to the hill. Jax recently transitioned from the bullpen to the starting rotation and has thrived, posting a 2.11 ERA over his last seven appearances. Just last week Jax faced this same Orioles lineup and held them to one earned run over five innings while striking out six.
Baltimore starts Shane Baz, a former Ray who was traded in the offseason. Baz has struggled mightily in 2026, holding a 1-5 record with a 4.87 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP. The Orioles have won just once in his last 5 starts.
The Rays are a complete team, ranking in the top five in both runs scored per game and team ERA. Their offense, led by Yandy Diaz (.315 BA, .896 OPS) and Junior Caminero (13 HR), should have no problem getting to Baz.
The Rays are 6-4 in their last 10 games facing the Orioles.
Take the Rays to bounce back and even up this series.
