The Cardinals have the edge in the season series for the battle of Missouri after they took two of three from the Royals in St. Louis, and I think they are going to take a bigger lead after this game. The Cardinals record is very similar whether they play at home or on the road and are right in the mix for the playoffs, while the Royals can’t seem to get anything going. Seth Lugo is scheduled to start for Kansas City as he missed some time in the concussion protocol after getting hit in the head by a comebacker, and I think he is going to be a little off in his first start back on the mound. Michael McGreevy has been solid over his last three starts allowing just 2 earned runs while pitching 6 innings in each for St. Louis and I think he can have a similar stat line against the reeling Royals. I like the Red birds in this one.
