The Chiefs enter this matchup winning their last two games as both of those outings against the Broncos and the Texans went over the total. The Seahawks come in here dropping four of the last five straight up, however three of their last four contests have gone over the total as well. Kansas City owns the NFL‘s top-ranked scoring offense, averaging 29.6 points per game. Things don’t look good for a Seattle defense that ranks 29th in points allowed, getting plowed for 25.4 points per game. Patrick Mahomes leads the top aerial assault in the league. While Seattle’s pass defense ranks 17th. On the flipside the Seahawks, although are without wide receiver Tyler Lockett, is still deep at the wideout position and possesses the ninth ranked passing attack in football. Kansas City has allowed a lot of yards in the air once again this season, ranking 19th against the pass. You know the Seahawks very quietly have averaged over 25.4 points per game. This does not bode well either for a Chiefs defense that has really sprung a leak, giving up 23 points per game on the season. Just over the last three outings the KC defense has been steamrolled for 27, 28, and 24 points. To be quite honest, this is going to be a shootout. I see both teams scoring from the first possessions straight through the final minutes of the game. The last five matchups resulted in five consecutive overs going back over the years. Their most recent being December, 2018. The over is 5-1 in the Seahawks last six games played on the road and 5-1 in the Chiefs last six games played in the month of December.
