Wednesday, August 05, 2026 2:35 PM
Play: Money Line: -156 Texas Rangers
Both teams have found a win in this series and this game will be the rubber match. Texas is coming off a 5-4 win yesterday which was just their 3rd win in 10 games. The Giants haven't fared much better, losing 4 out of their last 5.
Cody Bradford will take the hill for the first time this season. Bradford missed the entire 2025 campaign due to an elbow injury that eventually required Tommy John surgery, and a setback in his rehab program further extended his absence into the second half of this season. Now, after giving up just one run in 10 innings across four rehab starts, the 28-year-old southpaw is finally ready to rejoin the Rangers' rotation. He hasn't pitched since 2024 where he posted a 6-3 record with a 3.54 ERA.
Carson Whisenhunt should start this game for the San Francisco Giants. He has not been good this season with a 2-2 record and 6.63 ERA over 4 appearances.
Ezequiel Duran continues to play well for the Rangers against the Giants. He has gone 7-for-9 with a homer and five RBIs in the first two games of this series. He delivered a go-ahead two-run double in the eighth inning and game-winning two-bagger in the ninth.
San Francisco has been horrible 22-39 on the road. The Texas Rangers have gone 3-3 when playing NL-West opponents this season. The San Francisco Giants have gone 17-24 when playing AL-West opponents this season. The Giants have gone 16-29 taking on a team with a record below .500.
Take Texas!
