It seems like such a long time ago Rhode Island was a perfect, 3-0 in conference play. Since then, they've lost seven of their last night against Atlantic 10 opponents, which does include four in a row. They're most recent A-10 contest, they were embarrassed by LaSalle, losing by 23 points as a small home favorite. By the way, their opponent that night was without their starting forward and best big man. Virginia Commonwealth has taken the last three meetings in this series and enter this matchup running red-hot, winning eight of their last 10 and covering seven of those 10. With a couple important regular season games remaining against teams like Richmond and Dayton, this team needs this victory right now. They could certainly better their situation come tournament.
