Another performance by the tough gritty D of Illinois - holding teams to just 10.4 ppg this year, I don't see a lot changing. It's the time of the year where teams have to make a move - and they have done that. DT Jer'Zhan Newton came off a game during which he was amazing with 8 tackles and showed explosive power with 3 tackles for loss and 0.5 sack vs Michigan State. Head Coach, Jeff Brohm needs to put his team out there with instructions to try and take some shots downfield when they can so they can hit the occasional big play, but, in fact, they usually end up with a turnover or another dead drive. Purdue just doesn't have enough to quiet the Fighting Illini. The Fighting Illini are 8-1-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. Illinois wins by 10 or more!
