Guys for my FREE PLAY today I want to talk about one of the early Bowl games going off, in the Sun Bol between the Pitt Panthers and the UCLA Bruins. Very simply guys, this line was at 5.5 yesterday morning. Now I will tell you that myself and some other guys here in Vegas moved on UCLA. We moved it up to seven and then the general public followed suit, moving it to 7.5 yesterday. And this morning it is now already -8. My friends while I’m not crazy about laying better than a touchdown in a game like this, I still feel UCLA is the right side. As of right now neither Pitt nor UCLA have named their starting quarterbacks. Without question this is more significant on the Bruins side as DTR, Dorian Thompson-Robinson is far and away the best quarterback on either team. One thing I want you to understand…UCLA is deeper at every major position then Pitt. The Panthers also lost a couple of key cogs in their offensive wheel, including their only true rushing threat in 1,431-yard, 20 TD-achiever Israel Abanikanda. On the flipside, for the Bruins their top ball carrier, Zach Charbonnet has still not declared if he is playing today. Reports are that both DTR and Charbonnet practiced all week. We don’t know if this is smoke and mirrors or not folks. But as I said earlier, I do feel the Bruins are much deeper than the Panthers at key positions. UCLA still has a slew of receivers at their disposal and solid depth in their backfield. I think a common mistake that will occur in this matchup by many sports bettors out there is looking at how both of these two teams finished the season. While the Panthers finished with four consecutive wins, covering three of the four, the Bruins dropped two of their last three straight up and all three against the spread. Do not judge a team by what they did in November as to what they’re going to do in December. Remember the Panthers are 1-5 ATS the last six versus teams with winning record, 2-6 ATS the last eight neutral site games, 1-4 ATS the last five nonconference games, and 1-5 ATS the last six Bowl games. It may be a lot of points, but we will take the Bruins here. Thank you.
