Pittsburgh was 10-7 in 2024 and made the playoffs but finished the regular season on a four game losing streak and just 5-4 on the road. In the playoff game the Steelers lost 28-14 to Baltimore. Justin Fields started the first six games a year ago for the Steelers going 4-2, but once Russell Wilson was healthy, he was given the nod. The Jets had Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback going 5-12 despite having 3.897 yards passing, 28 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 63% competition, sacked 40 times. Basically these two teams traded quarterbacks as Fields is in New York and Rodgers is in Pittsburgh. The Jets were 3-5 at home, 5-7 in conference games and had a -66 point differential. This wasn’t the only big move made by the Steelers as traded for DK Metcalf who will be a big weapon for Rodgers to use. A year ago these two teams played in Pittsburgh with the Steelers putting up a monster second half outscoring the jets 24-0 in the second half – in that game Rodgers had 1 touchdown, two interceptions and 276 yards on 24/39 passing. The connection of Fields to Wilson will outshine Rodgers to Metcalf as Rodgers hears the boos all game long and he Jets win a tight one 23-20 as the defense steps up in the end. Play NY Jets
