Oklahoma is coming off a home loss against Kansas St. as a four-touchdown favorite and it was a game it never should have lost. The Sooners outgained the Wildcats by 117 total yards but blew a 28-7 lead as they lost the turnover battle 5-1 with Kansas St. while getting a punt blocked and having many costly penalties on explosive plays. Simply out, Oklahoma needs to be more disciplined on offense. On the other side, the Sooners would like to make the Cyclones one-dimensional by taking away the run and get pressure on quarterback Brock Purdy and force him to beat them throwing the football. The Sooners have won 24 of their last 25 true road games. Iowa St. rebounded from a loss against Louisiana, but it was not easy as it won by just three points at TCU and it was outgained by 89 total yards. This has never been a good matchup for the Cyclones as since the Big 12 was formed in 1996, Oklahoma is 15-1 against Iowa St. and 7-0 in Ames, with 13 of the 15 games ending in double-digit Sooner wins. The Sooners are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game while the Cyclones are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games.
