#11 Notre Dame vs #11 Rutgers on Wednesday March 16th. Notre Dame fell to Virginia Tech in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals and landed themselves in one of the first four in games. The Fighting Irish kept themselves in the top echelon of the ACC all season long and finished their season with a 22-10 overall record. The ACC had a down year in terms of team quality and Notre Dame did not fare well in their non-conference schedule except for a shocking on over then #10 Kentucky. Notre Dame lost to both their Big Ten opponents this season falling to Illinois and Indiana. Rutgers lost to eventual Big Ten Tournament Champion Iowa in their conference tournament and had a pretty wild season overall. The Scarlet Knights have five wins this season over top-25 opponents and had a four-game stretch where they went 4-0 against teams all ranked now lower than 16th in the nation. Ron Harper Jr leads the squad with 15.6 points per game, but Geo Baker led the way with 23 points in their loss to Iowa. Look for Rutgers to get the win here on Wednesday night!
