Pittsburgh's run defense has been outstanding, giving up just 7 TDs and 2.39 YPC on the ground. But they have to be very extremely careful of RB Jeremiyah Love here. The Panthers can also run the ball, and they will need to run well to win - they are almost unbeatable when their RBs are running tough. The game will not be perfect, but the Pittsburgh Panthers offense will settle in and will take control late.

Will Pittsburgh's offensive line hold up enough? The Irish need to apply just a bit of pressure in the Pitt backfield to make a difference. Notre Dame has had a strong pass rush, with 24 sacks, and the Panthers QBs have been sacked 26 times - that's something they need to really keep an eye on. Which is a huge reason why the Olines are going to play a huge part here, giving time for their QBs to scan the field. The run D for the Panthers will be the key here.
