The Tar Heels have taken the last two meetings against the Panthers, both played last season. They certainly need to up their stock as they are not ranked currently, and need to pad their resume for a Tournament invite down the road. They enter this contest a little hotter, having won seven of their last 10 straight up. It’s true, they haven't covered too many games. But if you look at their schedule, they've turned it up when they needed to. Pitt is on a 1-4 straight up slide, failing to cover five in a row. As a matter fact, they are pointspread poison, only covering three of their last 10 outings. North Carolina's quartet of starting guards are very talented. They are a big reason why this team ranks 29th in the nation in scoring, averaging over 82.5 points per game. UNC needs this game. Take the Tar Heels. Thank you.
