Overnight move toward Niagara suggests Siem Uijtendaal might be out but even if he plays this is a tough matchup for Canisius here. Canisius has been without Tajh Staveskie, Joe Jones and Xzavier Long all season, it's amazing the Griffs have been as competitive as they have been without those three but a big reason for that has been their ability to shoot the three. Siem is the best three point shooter on this team so if he can't go that's a MASSIVE loss for Canisius since three point looks will be tough to come by against a Niagara defense that defends the three point line extremely well. This will be the third straight road game for Niagara but it's the Battle of the Bridge, these schools are 20 minutes apart so it's really only a “road” game due to the fact it's being played at the KAC. Greg Paulus has, once again, done a phenomenal job with this Purple Eagles team. Niagara is the superior squad here and I think their ability to take away the three and the possibility that Siem might be out again (missed on Sunday with concussion symptoms) is enough to get me on the Purple Eagles here.
