In all sincerity, going against my beloved New York Yankees, is not an easy thing for me to do. But I'm not in this for loyalty. I'm in this to make everyone out there that follows me, money. Right now, the Yankees are struggling badly. They went from owning the best lead in any division in baseball, to dropping to third place in their A.L. East. They also went from being the best road team in the Majors, to falling to five games under .500 as the visitor on the season. Yes, they still have the bats. But their pitching has been downright deplorable. The Texas Rangers are sitting in third place in the West, playing decent baseball, at four games over .500. They happen to be one of the best home teams in the American League, going 35-20 at Globe Life field. Granted, New York took a three-game sweep in the first series against Texas back at the end of May. But they did fold like a cheap suit yesterday in Game 1 of this series, 8-5. Will Warren gets the nod on the road. The right-hander is 6-5 with a 4.64 ERA on the campaign. While he comes off back-to-back solid outings, his road record this season is just 1-2 with a whopping ERA of 7.20. Taking the hill at home is Nathan Eovaldi. The right-hander is a very respectable 9-3 this season with an anemic ERA of 1.48. He won all five of his starts in July. As a matter of fact, he has not dropped a decision since May 22. There is no question New York is struggling, especially on the road. While there is still a lot of baseball to be played this season, I just don't see them giving us any value here in this matchup today. Take Texas. Thank you.
