Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Play: Money Line: -114 New York Mets
Just because football is here and doesn't mean you should forget about baseball. To quote the infamous Yosemite Sam, "there is gold in them thar hills." There is still a lot of baseball still left in the regular season, and then of course we have the postseason. I am not in love with anything today. So, I am passing on premium releases. But I'm not gonna’ leave you guys without a strong lean. Now, do take note, although I am passing today because I'm not here to give you action, I'm here to give you a winner, I do have long-term discounted subscriptions available for you. Monday Free Winner: New York Mets. Game 953. 3:45 PM PST/6:45 PM EST. It wasn't that long ago New York owned the top spot in the National League East. Now they sit 7.0-games back in second place in the division to today's opponent, the Philadelphia Phillies. New York is trying to earn back the lead in the East, or at least a Wildcard opportunity. The Mets have had their way with the Phillies taking eight of the last 10 overall meetings, which does include seven of nine 2025 matchups. They do enter this game struggling a bit, dropping six of their last 10, while their opponent has won seven of their last 10 outings. Statistically, the Mets possessive little bit better of a scoring offense, while the Phillies are slightly lower in team ERA. Having said that, today's starters are scheduled to be Nolan McLean and Aaron Nola. The New York rookie is 4-0 with 1.37 ERA on the campaign, and has won all four of his Major League starts. To be quite honest, he has gone up against some solid lineups, and he has kept them at bay, allowing a total of just four earned runs in 26.1 innings pitched. The Philadelphia starter is struggling this season, sporting a 3-8 record with a 6.78 ERA. In consecutive starts he has allowed four, nine, six, two, four, and six earned runs. He has gotten some run support, resulting in a few of those games winning. However, at home this season he is just 3-3 with a whopping ERA of 6.55. While the Phillies are a little hotter, I feel the fact the visitor here has their number dominating them, and a hungrier, more reliable starter on the mound. Therefore take New York. Thank you.
