Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: New York Mets vs. New York Yankees

Play: Money Line: -131 New York Yankees
Joe D is riding an 11-5 MLB run and today, continues to get you paid on the diamond with my MLB FRIDAY PAYDAY PLAY. Be on it and GET PAID! Friday’s FREE WINNER: New York Yankees. Game 916. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. Over recent meetings, the Mets have certainly had their way with the Yankees, taking six of the last seven in this “Subway Series”. To add to the regular New York/New York drama, this is Juan Soto's first game played in a Mets uniform at Yankee Stadium. The Mets currently sit atop the National League East at 28-16, 2.5-games ahead of the Phillies. They are very good home team at 17-5. However, when they travel, they are just 11-11. The Yankees own the biggest lead of any division leader in baseball right now, perched atop the American League East at 25-18, possessing a four-game cushion. While the Mets possess the top pitching staff in baseball, with a team ERA of 2.84, the Yankees staff has been very respectable, despite being hit with some injuries, ranking ninth, with a team ERA of 3.62. The big difference in this matchup is at the plate. The Mets rank 12th in scoring, averaging 4.66 runs per game. But the Yankees rank second in baseball, with a lineup exploding for over 5.81 runs per game. As a matter fact, they possess some of the best offensive numbers in all of the Majors. If this game comes down to pitching, Tylor Megill and Carlos Rodon are slated here today. The Mets right-hander is 3-3 with a 3.10 ERA this season, as the team has dropped five of his last six turns. The Yankees left-hander is 4-3 with a 3.29 ERA. The team has won three of his last five starts. Over those starts, he is 3-0 with 1.71 ERA, and over his career, in two starts against the Mets, he is a perfect 2-0 with an anemic of 0.84. Megill, who is 0-1 with a 6.19 ERA over his last three starts, one has only previous start against the Yankees, a win back in 2021. Yes, the Mets have had their way with the Yankees recently. But the Yankees are playing at home, hitting the ball a little better, have a starter on the mound which has started to stride recently, and have revenge in their eyes. Take the Yankees. Thank you.
