If you recall a season ago, I started the NBA campaign 3-0, 6-1, and 15-4. And I never looked back the entire NBA campaign. For 17 documented seasons I either reign supreme or have some very close near-finishes. I did split out last night going 1-1 in NBA. Wednesday’s FREE WINNER: Memphis Grizzlies. Game 510. 4:40 pm pst. Guys, I know the New York Knicks team. I’m a New York Knicks fan since the early ‘70s. And I know this team. They are in real trouble this year. And starting the campaign off playing the Memphis Grizzlies, things are not looking good for them at all. While the Grizzlies have a few injuries, the bulk of their lineup is still intact. Understand that a season ago, Memphis tied their franchise record for wins, when they were 56-26 and earned the second seed in the Western Conference playoffs before falling to the Warriors, which went on to win the NBA championship. Ja Morant is going to be too much for the New York defense to even try to slow down, let alone stop. While Williams, Jackson, and Green are out, and yes, even Brooks is doubtful for the opener tonight, this team is loaded with playmakers. The Grizzlies took both meetings a season ago straight up. And in the only matchup in the Garden, they crushed the Knicks in a 120-108 blowout back at the beginning of February. Many expected New York to make a few more significant moves in the off-season, and things just did not go their way. They are lacking in quite a few departments. The fact that Memphis lost to Golden State in six games in last year’s postseason, I look for them to come out here and make a statement in their season-opener. Remember one thing, this team is money at home, going 21-6 against the spread the last 27 games played at the FedEx Forum. Take the Grizzlies. Thank you.
