Both teams are slated to play their starters in this game although the Packers seem like they will be quicker on the trigger to get to their backups. The Jets should have an advantage when this thing gets to the backups. They have Tyrod Taylor as their backup QB. Taylor, 36, brings exceptional experience with 58 career starts across seven different organization. Fields should get a fair amount of work as a new starter to the organization. I wouldn't be surprised if Fields saw a more than one series. The Packers have Malik Willis as their backup, acquired from the Titans in August 2024. Willis is a mobile and solid backup for the Packers. He went 2-0 as a starter while Jordan Love was injured. After Willis, Sean Clifford and Taylor Elgersma are really bad options. The Packers have a lot of questionable starters going in to this game on the offensive side of the ball. I would not be surprised to see a lot of impact players sit tonight. The Jets should have the better depth pieces and offer a decent shot at covering this spread in Green Bay. Jets+3 is the play.
