Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: New Mexico vs. Air Force
Wednesday, January 02, 2019 9:00 PM
Play: Point Spread: -1/-110 New Mexico
New Mexico has the talent to be a real factor in the MWC this season, but the Lobos have been inconsistent out of the gate standing just 6-6 overall through the nonconference. If New Mexico is going to challenge in the upper tier of the MWC then these are the kind of games the Lobos have to win on the road. New Mexico has a high offensive ceiling when everything is clicking and the Lobos are currently averaging about 80 points per game. We’re not very high on Air Force and the Falcons haven’t been impressive through the nonconference standing 5-7 overall. Air Force was able to get back on track in their last outing getting past UC Riverside at home by a final of 72-60, but today will likely be a tougher test for the Falcons. Air Force doesn’t have much in the way of standout offensive threats with their leading scorer Ryan Swan averaging just 12.1 points per game. We get to see what kind of mentality this underperforming New Mexico group brings into their conference opener. We get New Mexico on a bit of a discount and we’ll buy low with the Lobos as New Mexico goes on to cover the spread.
