Guys there's a few things in sportsbetting I'm not crazy about doing. Laying double-digits in conference tournament action is certainly one of them. But here's a situation where I really feel I don't have to worry one bit. I want to talk about an SEC matchup going off early today at 10 AM PST/1 PM EST as Mississippi and Auburn square off against one another. We all know the Tigers rank third nationally. We also know they took the regular season conference crown, going 15-3 in SEC play. If you are concerned because they dropped their final two games of the regular season, don't be. They didn't need the games. When they did need to win, they ended their run, winning six in a row straight up, and covering four of those six. This is a team that is no stranger to laying big numbers, and covering them. Let's talk about Mississippi for a moment. They are a respectable. 22-10 overall, which does include a 10-8 mark in conference play. Not only did this team struggle down the road, going 2-4 straight up in their final six regular season games, they have been point spread poison, only covering one of their last nine contests. They played a barn burner yesterday against Arkansas, and eked out a three-point victory. That game could've gone either way, folks. Trust me when I tell you they will not have fresh legs in this matchup. They're going to be depleted of energy, and lack the muscle it takes to compete with today’s opponent. These two teams met twice this season, as the Tigers prevailed and covered in both, winning by 10-points back on February 1, and then 30-points back on February 26. As a matter of fact, Auburn has taken eight in a row in his rivalry, straight up, covering six of those eight. The average margin of victory during those eight wins, came by 14-points per game. Trust me when I tell you they have the Rebels number. A couple of quick little items folks: for starters, this game is being played in Nashville, Tennessee at the Bridgestone Arena. So basically, this is an away game for both teams. Mississippi is 5-6 on the road this season, while Auburn is 8-2 when they travel. The Tigers also had five extra days to rest, heal, and prepare here. Both teams have some scorers. But very few opponents this season could compete with the fifth-ranked scoring machine of the Auburn Tigers, which account for over 85.2-points per game. They're also monsters at both ends of the court on the boards, giving themselves a lot of second-chance opportunities offensively, and taking away second-chance opportunities defensively. By the way, they also hit over 37.2% from downtown, and are far better from the free throw line. I really feel they come out here and make a statement, not just to the rest of the SEC, but to the rest of the nation. Lay the wood, and take your bookmaker’s money early. It'll be a great start to the day. Take Auburn. Thank you.
