But the 31-9 embarrassing loss on the road at the hands of their divison rival, Detroit Lions, lost them an opportunity to finish with the top seed in the NFC, dropping them down considerably. The Los Angeles Rams are a darn good team. They enter this matchup with a little bit of confidence, knowing they have won the last three meetings against this opponent straight up, covering the two most recent, back in December 2021, and October 2024. The Vikings are a good team and they are well-coached. I see them bouncing back here as a very smart coaching staff will have them prepared. Not taking anything away from the Rams, and their coaching staff. But you cannot ignore Minnesota’s statistics on both sides of the line of scrimmage are a little bit better. They rank ninth in the NFL in scoring, accounting for over 25.4-points per game, and fifth defensively, yielding just 19.5-points per game. Both teams have solid passing attacks, while both give up a lot of yards in the air. The difference you will see is the way the Vikings second-ranked run defense will make it very difficult for the Rams to move the ball on the ground. Oh, one more item, the Los Angeles stop-unit has snagged just 13 takeaways this season, while the Minnesota “D” tops the NFL, with 24 takeaways. With this line ping-ponging bit, I will side with the Vikings, and their superior defense. Take Minnesota on the ML. Thank you.
