My friends, I think this might be one the most entertaining and exciting matchups on the college tournament board today. You know if this game was being play at a true neutral site…Yes, I know it’s technically a neutral site, but if this game was being played let’s say in the middle of Kansas, I would probably make Miami Florida a one-point favorite. However, it is being played in Greensboro, North Carolina. Now while it might not be Duke territory, you will see a lot of Duke, faithful fans in the stands here. What’s funny about the Blue Devils is when playing at home this season they were 16-0. They went just 4-6 on the road. And 4-2 on neutral sites. Once again, you’re going to see a lot of the faithful blue shirts in the stands. So, it’s going to be a friendly crowd for this team. And after running up the score on the Panthers yesterday, they did sit a couple of their starters late in the game. However, the Hurricanes have played them very, very tough. They have won three of the last five straight up. And more importantly, have covered all five of those meetings. Now, remember guys, this isn’t about who wins. This is about who covers. And Miami covers against Duke. You know if you look at the Hurricanes, they had a tough time yesterday against the Demon Deacons. They eked out a two-point victory, which was the third straight no cover folks. I think a lot of people will be looking at that trend while trying to handicap this matchup. Granted, Duke hasn’t lost a game since just before Valentine’s Day. And they have blown out some good opponents. But it can’t be sitting well with Miami, that as the 14th ranked team in the country and co-regular season conference champion…that they come in here an underdog of 3 1/2 points. You know they’re 12-2 all-time facing a lower seeded team in the tournament. I think this is going to be a very tough game. Therefore, I will put a small lean on the Hurricanes getting the points folks. By the way, FYI, the Blue Devils have only covered one of the last 11 games played following an ATS win. Once again, I put a small lean on Miami. Thank you.
