Everyone is talking about how New England is going to fall apart without Tom Brady. There's no debating he is the greatest quarterback of this generation. And you will never see another play-caller win as many rings as him either. However, this Patriots team did not win 12 games a season ago because of Brady. They were successful because of Bill Belichick and one of the NFL's top defenses. They ranked at or near the top in every major defensive category. Cam Newton brings a whole new dimension to Josh McDaniels attack. He also has a lot to prove and is maybe even motivated to stick it to the Panthers for letting him go. Remember that Miami beat New England in late December to drop them in seeding, knocking them out of a playoff bye, which many blame on the teams early departure. Miami should fare better than last year, but they still aren't near the level of this week's opponent. The home team is 13-3 ATS the last 16 meetings in this series. The Dolphins are 0-5 ATS the last five games played in the month of September and 1-7 ATS the last eight games played in Foxborough. If you take the PATRIOTS -6.5, you will take the money. Take New England. Thank you.
