With another NBA win yesterday with the Suns, I am hitting 66.7% in my NBA releases. I am passing on Hoops today. But I have one play up in hockey today. My NHL BACK OF THE NET PLAY. You know guys if Damian Lillard was playing today, this line would be much different than what you see. Granted, Memphis is the number three scoring team in the NBA. But they have a slew of injuries themselves, both listed as out and as questionable. No matter how much the Ja Morant-led team can score, they still come off back-to-back road losses at Utah. They now visit the Moda Center for their third straight game played as a visitor. And this team has been point spread poison overall…let alone on the road where they’re just 1-5 ATS going back to last season. This does include a 1-4 ATS record this season. On the other hand, Portland is 5-1 so far, both straight up and against the spread. They can score with Memphis even without Lillard on the floor. And defensively they will definitely frustrate the Grizzlies offense. Please understand that no matter how good Memphis is offensively, they rank 30th in the league in points allowed, getting plowed for over 121.4 points per game. They’ve also been dominated in this rivalry losing four of the last five meetings straight up and against the number. Giving the Blazers points at home in my opinion is a big mistake. Take Portland.
