These are two teams heading in different directions right now with Louisville coming off disappointing back to back home losses against Cal and Clemson, while SMU has looked great in their last two outings upsetting Miami and blowing out Boston College. Louisville’s chances of making the playoff or ACC title game have been eliminated with the Cardinals now standing just 4-3 in ACC play. In contrast SMU remains in the thick of the ACC hunt with a 5-1 record in league play. It feels bad that the one time we picked SMU recently turned out to be their 1 loss in ACC play, but SMU is really tough at home and the Mustangs have been playing better ball since their loss at Wake Forest. SMU has more on the line and we expect a strong effort from the home team as a result as the Mustangs go on to win and cover the spread.
