Louisiana Tech has been quietly consistent as a program under head coach Skip Holtz, but the Bulldogs are going to need better offensive production in 2019 if the Bulldogs are going to compete in the upper tier of CUSA. La Tech was actually one of the weaker offenses in CUSA last season averaging under 25 points per game. The Bulldogs also need to replace their entire defensive front which could be a concern coming into this matchup against an upper tier Power 5 opponent. Texas took a step forward last season and the Horns are looking to compete for the Big 12 title in 2019. The offense returns a lot of pieces, while the defense is going to retool around a lot of elite level talent. Given the talent gap on top of a tremendous home field advantage, we like Texas to make a statement and win by 25 or more on Saturday night.
