The Dodgers and Brewers are both leading their respective divisions, but this game features a big starting pitch edge for the Dodgers. LA is coming off of a big 11-3 win over the Brewers yesterday and will look to win this series on Sunday. Los Angeles will hand the ball to their ace, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who sports a 3.32 ERA and an elite 0.96 WHIP. Yamamoto has been missing bats consistently and limiting baserunners, making it very difficult for opposing offenses to string together rallies. Milwaukee will counter with rookie Brandon Sproat, who has struggled significantly this season. Sproat enters the contest with a 1-2 record, a 5.75 ERA, and a concerning 1.50 WHIP. Sproat is clicking for less than 40% strikes on his cutter. Hard to have a good outing when you can't locate your best pitch. He hasn't made it to the 6th inning since April 16th. The Dodgers are 8-3 in their last 11 games and rank among the top MLB teams in hitting, sitting at 2nd in the league with a combined .264 batting average and 3rd in total hits with 441. They should be able to continue to get after the Brewers especially with Sproat on the mound. Take the Dodgers to get the win.
