Max Fried and the Braves are rested as he pitched last Saturday in a 3-0 win over the Brewers throwing six shutout innings allowing three hits, no walks and nine strikeouts. Fried is 1-0 in two starts against the Dodgers this season with a 2.25 ERA. In those two games Fried threw 12 innings, nine hits, three runs, two homeruns, one walk, 13 strikeouts and a .200 batting average against. The Dodgers are coming off a dramatic and controversial game five win 2-1 after a check swing, that wasn't, was called strike three for the Dodger win. The Dodgers are throwing Corey Knebel once again as an opener after he did well to start game five on Thursday. Knebel went one inning, one hit and one strikeout on Thursday and has a 2.45 ERA on the year. Knebel is 1-0 on the road with a 3.68 ERA on the year and pitched 2/3 of an inning on the year with one hit allowed and no runs against the Braves. Fried is 7-3 with a sub three ERA at 2.94 at home this season and overall hasn't lost since July. Look for the pen after Knebel to stumble while Fried throws seven strong innings in a 5-2 win for the Braves to open the series. Play Atlanta
