And in all sincerity, I just don’t see the Angels, no matter who is on the mound, and who their opponent is, being this high of a favorite on Opening Day. Yes, I know how good Shohei Ohtani is. I also know that Kyle Muller (Oakland’s starting pitcher here) should be bagging groceries at your local convenient store. But these two teams know each other very, very well. Although the A’s are touted to be one of the worst teams in baseball, I mean come, on preseason predictions say they’re only going to win 57.5-games. Preseason predictions also say they should finish last in their division. And furthermore, preseason predictions say that along with the Washington Nationals, they are the biggest longshot to win the Fall Classic. But if you recall, the last time these two teams met at Ring Central Coliseum, Oakland swept Los Angeles 3-0 in the first few days of October. Oh, and by the way, Ohtani did start the last game of that series. Please keep in mind that the Angels are not a great road team. Also, keep in mind that they have a lot of problems facing left-handed starters. And if you combine these two situations, they have only won one of the last nine road games when facing left-handers. Now, I’m not saying the A’s are a great team. But getting them on Opening Day + $2 dollars with new rule changes definitely gives us an edge. Take Oakland. Thank you.
