Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: Houston vs. UL Lafayette
Friday, December 23, 2022 3:00 PM
Play: Point Spread: -7/-110 Houston
Need a way to pay for all those Christmas presents you bought? Well, I have just the game for you this Saturday in the HAWAII BOWL between MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE/SAN DIEGO STATE. As a matter of fact, after this BIG WINNER you can afford to go out and by yourself a gift for under the tree. As one of the most acclaimed BOWL handicappers/sports bettors in the history of this business, I am very selective when posting BOWL plays. I have the winner of Monday’ QUICK LANE BOWL in the NEW MEXICO STATE/BOWLING GREEN matchup. Get it now and ensure yourself a BIG WINNER. Guys, I really feel strongly about these Bowl plays. And I also feel that is a tough time of year for you. So, I posted both for you already. By this afternoon I will also have available several Saturday and Sunday NFL winners including a HIGHEST-RATED NFL play. You know I am 18-3 in HIGHEST-RATED releases in 2022. I am also posting a HUGE BOWL WINNER for you for next week by this evening. All these will be available by dinner time tonight. Friday’s FREE WINNER: Houston Cougars. Game 229. 12:00 PM PST/3:00 PM EST. For today’s free winner I want to talk about one of the Bowl games going off this evening in the Houston Cougars/Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns matchup. And that would be the Independence Bowl being played in Shreveport, Louisiana. Granted, this is basically a home game for the Ragin’ Cajuns. But guys I got to tell you; I doubt things are going to go their way here. Yes, I know I know I know…the Cougars defense leaves a lot to be desired. I mean that was their Achilles’ heel this season. But Lafayette is a team that has certainly struggled offensively. They’re not very good either in the air on the ground. I mean they had trouble putting up points on such opponents as Rice, Louisiana Monroe, South Alabama, and even Troy. Now I have to tell you that this team has been hit very hard by departures to the NFL draft, losing their best defensive end, among other stop-unit starters. On the flipside, one thing the Cougars did not have a problem with was scoring this season. They rank 14th in the nation, averaging over 37.2-points per game. They possess a solid ground attack. They rarely turn the ball over. And folks, they own top-10 aerial assault. Behind Clayton Tune, this team averaged well over 320 yards in the air per game. The gunslinging quarterback is a monster. He’s got over 37 touchdowns, a 67% completion rate, and passed for over 3,845 yards. He’s also a dual-threat, running for nearly 500 more yards on the ground and notching five more TDs with his legs. He has an arsenal of receivers at his disposal, including one of the best in the nation and Nathaniel Dell. I just don’t see ULL slowing this offense down, at all. They really don’t have a big threat defensively, they don’t cause turnovers, and they don’t have an explosive line to put pressure on Tune. Not only are the Cougars more complete and deeper, but they seem to be a lot more motivated here. They closed the campaign winning five of six games before losing an ugly 37-30 contest to Tulsa in the season finale. Just looking at their strength of schedule and their résumé, they are far superior. Lay the points with Houston guys. Thank you.
